Until now Iranian women were still financially discriminated in case of insurances. They received only half of what men collect of their insurances policies. Right now there is a huge change-over. Women will finally receive the equal amount in case of death and injury The financial injury of women did not only affect themselves but also their families and relatives.
Further, the Justice Minister of Iran has decided not to make a difference anymore between Muslims and Non-Muslims. These last mentioned received less payment than the Muslims. Now, the insurance companies have to pay equal amounts to both.
I think it is scandalous that nowadays there still is discrimination in case of sex/gender, religion… I know that in the Middle-East the way of thinking and acting is completely different compared to our way of living, but I think that no one has the power or the right to judge someone based on sex, religion… All over the world discrimination should be taken care of.
The equalization between men or women in case of some insurances is a major step in the right direction but there is still a lot of work to do to banish every kind of discrimination. I think that it would be great if the word ‘some’ could disappear in the sentence above.

It is scandalous that such a things still happen. It is like the time stood still. I know that they have different ideas. But this has to stop. It is indeed a step forwards but just a small step compared to how free and equal the women are in our country. I cannot imagine that if my mother has an accident she gets less money just because she is a woman.

The discrimination of women is centuries-old. They are subordinate to their husbands in every aspect. They have to obey and do what's told to them. Also in the financial aspect. It's not right that only get half the money amount men receive, because I women have an accident, it’s just as bad as when a men has an accident. We can’t imagine how life’s over there, because women in our country are not subordinated to their husbands.

Women have equal rights towards men. In Iran, women have to do much household chores and they have to look after the children. When they get an accident by for example cleaning the stairs and break their leg, men in the Middle-East lose their “household slave”. Women have huge responsibilities over there and the insurance companies are now sharing my opinion. Nowadays, they have to pay out the full payments which I think is only normal.
